billThe Very Reverend William Thomas Deneke
Rector

Our rector, the Very Rev. William Thomas Deneke, came to Holy Trinity in 2000, having served parishes in North Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. In providing leadership for both parish spirituality and congregational development, Bill has encouraged Holy Trinity to embrace community and global ministries as well as a wide program of Christian formation ministries.

Bill is a seasoned priest with an appreciation for the ministry of the baptized.  For years he has supported people as they sought to discern God's call to them. As dean of the East Atlanta convocation, Bill believes that the church is strengthened when parishes work together. He also has a keen interest in interfaith ministries.

Married to the Rev. Dr. Deborah Silver, Bill has two children and a granddaughter. Among his interests are photography and travel.

 allanThe Reverend Allan Sandlin
Associate Rector

The Rev. Allan Sandlin joined the staff at Holy Trinity in the fall of 2007 as associate rector.  From 1999-2007, Fr. Sandlin served as rector at the Church of Christ the King in Frankfurt, Germany, one of the eight parishes in the Convocation of American Churches in Europe.  A graduate of the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, he also served as rector of St. Francis by the Sea in Blue Hill, Maine and as assistant priest at St. Luke’s, Atlanta.

Before seminary, he played the viola professionally in Texas and South Dakota.  He enjoys playing chamber music with friends whenever possible and loves to hike in the North Georgia mountains, visit the great Atlanta museums and cheer for the Braves in his spare time. He is married to Gretchen Nagy, an Atlanta attorney who also plays the viola. They have two children, a son who plays the cello and a daughter who plays the violin and sings.
