Gifts and Memorials

Memorials to Holy Trinity provide ways to honor those who have died and also support parish ministries.  A Memorial Fund exists for such remembrances. When a memorial offering is given, the family of the deceased is notified that a contribution has been made in his or her name.

Gifts in thanksgiving of someone or of some occasion offer another way to express gratitude and appreciation. A list of gift suggestions can be provided upon request. Contact The Very Rev. William Thomas Deneke, Rector.

There are several special funds at Holy Trinity for which contributions may be made. These include:

The Memorial Fund

Parishioners and friends of Holy Trinity are welcome to contribute to our Memorial Fund.  Most donations are made in honor of, or thanksgiving for, an individual or event of importance to the donor or honoree.  Checks should be sent to the Parish office, along with a brief note of explanation.

Generally speaking, the determination of the specific form of memorial is left to the Rector and Vestry, in consultation with the donor and appropriate committees such as the Altar Guild, or Buildings Committee, if necessary.

Larger, or more permanent memorials are also welcome, and we encourage advance communication with the Rector about gifts of this nature.

The Kiwi Fund for Outreach

Holy Trinity Parish maintains a permanent endowment with the dedicated purpose of supporting the Parish's outreach efforts.  Each year, the interest earned on the Kiwi Fund is used to supplement the portion of the operating budget committed to outreach efforts.

As the Kiwi Fund grows through additional donations, Holy Trinity's ability to expand its support to this ministry can also be expanded.  Tax deductible donations are most welcome and appreciated.

If you would like to learn more about Holy Trinity's outreach efforts, please contact Paul Salter or the rector.

The Centennial Scholarship Fund for Theological Education

Throughout our history, Holy Trinity has been significantly involved in the establishment of a number of other Episcopal churches in greater Atlanta.  As our community has matured, these opportunities are not as prevalent today, although our interest in supporting the expansion of the faith remains strong.

To carry on this mission, a dedicated group of Holy Trinity parishioners initiated the Centennial Scholarship Trust in honor of Holy Trinity's one hundreth anniversary. The mission of the trust is to provide financial support to both lay persons and candidates for ordination in the Episcopal Church, as they pursue relevant education and training.

Our parish undertakes several fund raising efforts for the Scholarship Trust throughout the year, and gratefully welcomes direct contributions from friends and parishioners.  Cash donations may be sent to the parish office, or you may contact the Junior Warden if you would like to discuss gifts of appreciated securities.  All donations are tax deductible.

The Centennial Scholarship Trust Fund Application can be found on the Forms section of our website.
